(Taichung News) In response to the increasingly sophisticated methods of real estate fraud, the Taichung City’s Local Tax Bureau will launch the “Real-Time Tax Registration Change Notification Service” on July 1, 2025, to help citizens promptly monitor changes in the tax registration of their properties and safeguard their assets. Once registered, property owners will receive proactive notifications via email, text message, or LINE whenever land value increment tax or deed tax is declared for the transfer of land or buildings under their name. This enables owners to verify changes immediately and reduce potential risks.
The Bureau explained that there are two ways to apply for the Real-Time Tax Registration Notification Service. Property owners or their legal representatives may bring their identification card to any full-service counter at the district branches for in-person application. Alternatively, they may complete the application online through the “Local Tax Online Filing” system using a Citizen Digital Certificate or a registered National Health Insurance Card. Even individuals who do not currently own any real estate may apply in advance, and once they acquire property and a transfer occurs, the system will likewise issue notifications.
